CELEBRATION – A collection by Rock The Naked Truth and Pinksalt

Swimwear can be quite daunting for someone who is lacking in confidence in their bodies, hence body positivity movement Rock TheNaked Truth and homegrown label Pinksalt set out to create swimwear pieces that are flattering for all curves and are available in an extended range of sizes from 2XS to 3XL.

Titled ‘CELEBRATION’, this collection aims to celebrate bodies of all shapes and sizes. It doesn’t matter what your background is or how you look like, we all deserve to celebrate our bodies and what they are capable of doing for us. Whether you are taking care of your children, pursuing a sport or finding your passion in a hobby, your bodies are remarkable. Take a pause and think about the things you are doing in your life and how you have your body to thank.

CELEBRATION comes in two styles – a one-piece with cut-outs on the sides for a cheeky touch and a two-piece to flatter the chest but stay modest with a high waist. The splattering of colourful dots represent confetti, to symbolise the act of celebrating.

These pieces are also made from VITA PL by Carvico, a sustainable techno fabric made of recycled polyester from Italy. #environmentalfriendly

Toh Kok Peng: Living with ALS

“I was asking, ‘Why me?’, ’cause I keep an active lifestyle, I eat quite healthily, so I never expected to have a medical condition. And in addition, it is so rare, it’s considered a rare condition – so, why me?”

Toh Kok Peng (@tohkokpeng), 38, father of 2 young boys and part of the Naval Diving Unit, is diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease. The harsh truth about this motor neuron disease is that it has no cure and an average life expectancy of 2 to 5 years.

Kok Peng however, remains positive, and maintains a strong sense of optimism to live his life and create more memories with his family.

We spoke to Kok Peng and his wife Wanqi in this intimate interview of how they are coping…

00:50 – What was life like before ALS?
01:43 – How did you find out about your condition?
02:37 – How did you feel then?
03:36 – How has this changed you?
05:04 – Are you scared?
05:32 – How do you hope to inspire others?
