[CLOSED] ROCKdragon

2000 years ago, lived a highly regarded Chinese court official Qu Yuan. Due to the corrupt, jealous ministers who slandered Qu, he was sent on exile by the King. Qu threw himself into the Miluo River as a form of protest against the corruption of the era. Out of sadness, the villagers paddled out in their fishing boats to try save Qu. They beat drums, splashed water with their paddles in order to keep the fish and spirits from his body. Later, they scattered rice into the water to feed the fish, in order to prevent the fishes from devouring the poet’s body. This developed into a ceremony that passed down generations.

Dragonboat racing has since emerged in modern times as an international sport and here’s your chance to try it out!
