My 14-year-old daughter suffers from anorexia but she finds it hard to battle her disorder. It’s her second time in KK Hospital to bring up her weight. I wonder if you have support groups or activities to help me and her.
RESPONSE FROM DION LO:
It’s great that you are exploring support groups and activities for your daughter. Engaging in support groups and activities with her would make her less alone on her journey to recovery. Exploring new hobbies and activities would help with reducing some of the preoccupation and fixation on eating related matters.
Better Life Psychological Medicine clinic has been conducting monthly eating disorder support groups. It is held on the last Thursday of every month. You can refer to their website for more information.
